Karen Shore Elected President of The Board of LACEFT
LACEFT is so pleased to announce that Karen Shore, PhD, ABPP, has been elected President of The board of LACEFT.
Dr. Shore is a Clinical Psychologist with post-doctoral diplomas in psychoanalysis, couples therapy and group therapy. Her doctorate and the three post-doctoral diplomas were received from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University on Long Island. In addition, she became Board Certified in Group Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2011. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2004, she worked at the V.A. on Long Island and in private practice for 16 years. She was introduced to EFT in 2006 and attended an Externship in San Diego in 2007. She became Certified in 2009 and then became a Certified EFT Supervisor in 2011. Dr. Shore is a founding member of LACEFT and has served on LACEFT’s Board since its founding in 2011. She has been active in organizations, on committees and on Boards of Directors, since 1982, including locally at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles, and she is a Past-President of the Los Angeles Psychological Association, all of which preceded her service to LACEFT. Dr. Shore frequently presents at workshops and conferences on topics pertaining to EFT. Her practice is in Santa Monica, where she sees individuals and couples.
LACEFT is honored to have Dr. Shore as a part of its leadership. Her term of office began October 15, 2016.
