The Hold Me Tight®/Let Me Go Teen Family Program (HMT/LMG) is a comprehensive educational workshop to connect parents and teens that moves relationships from distress toward comfort, understanding, and connection.

This training will demonstrate the specific in’s and out’s of how to conduct a HMT/LMG program. The training will also outline the structure and rationale for the program. Principles of Emotionally Focused Family Therapy will be presented to help you anchor your understanding of how HMT/LMG provides significant help to parent/teen relationships.

This 6-hour CE program combines practical, concise instruction with video-taped & role play examples. At the culmination of this training, you will leave equipped with the foundational knowledge of the program and the confidence to effectively present the HMT/LMG workshop to audiences who can benefit.

Drs. Nancy and Paul Aikin, creators of HMT/LMG and Certified EFT Trainers, Supervisors, and Therapists will present this full-day workshop, which is supported by Dr. Sue Johnson and recently published by ICEEFT, is a sister program to the world-renowned HMT Couple program.

This training program will be appropriate and meaningful for all interested psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, school counselors, and students in these fields, as well as teachers, clergy, and family life educators. Although many attendees will have EFT training, no prior EFT training is required to attend.

By the end of the day, having experienced examples of actual workshop exercises and having been introduced to the theory behind HMT/LMG, participants will leave with materials and knowledge to run the program themselves.
